Where a card sits while it’s yours.

We buy the card first. It goes to a grading company, which inspects it, scores its condition and seals it in a hard case with a certification number printed on the label. It comes back sealed, and it stays that way.

Only then does it join a pool. A pool is a list of specific cases, each with its own number, which is why the pack page can show you every card you might get.

Cards sit in an access-controlled storage facility run by a third-party storage company, not in an office of ours. They stay sealed in the cases they were graded in the whole time.

We don’t lend cards out, sell them, or return them to a pool while they belong to someone. A card that’s yours is out of circulation until you move it.

Two things, and both of them are you: asking for it to be shipped, or selling it back. Until one of those happens, the card doesn’t move.

Cards are dispatched from the EU, in the same sealed case, tracked. The countries we ship to are checked when you make the request, so a destination we can’t reach is refused there rather than at the packing bench.

Above €— of value leaving the account we ask for ID before the card ships. That threshold is a placeholder until it’s set.

The storage contract isn’t signed, which means we can’t yet tell you what coverage sits behind the facility or what your claim looks like if this company stops operating. We’d rather leave that blank than fill it with something comfortable.

It’s on the list of what we publish before anything is for sale, and it’s the item on that list we expect to be judged on.
