FAQ
Common questions.
One answer here is unfinished and says so. The rest are settled, including the ones we’d rather not be asked.
Packs and pulls
What do I get when I open a pack?
One card, out of the pool listed on that pack’s page. It’s a specific graded card that was already in storage before you opened. From then on it’s yours to keep stored, sell back, or ship.
Are the cards real?
Yes. Every card in a pool is a physical card that’s been graded, sealed in its case and checked into storage. Nothing in a pool is a render or a stand-in.
Can I see the odds before I pay?
Yes. Each pack shows its full pool and the chance of pulling each card in it, on the page, before you buy. Those odds are the same for every account.
What does provably fair mean here?
It means the terms of your opening are locked before you pay, and the number that decides your card is drawn afterwards and tied to that lock. We publish a short code for the locked terms up front, then the number and the terms once the pack is open. The Fairness page walks through the check, and through what it doesn’t prove.
Is this gambling?
You pay a set price for one card drawn at random from a published pool, with the odds shown before you buy. It’s 18+, and you can cap your spend or lock your own account out of buying entirely. Whether that counts as gambling is for you to decide: the responsible-play page has every control, plus where to get help if you need it.
Storage and shipping
What happens to my card while it’s stored?
It stays sealed in its grading case in an access-controlled facility, recorded against your account by the cert number on the case. It isn’t lent out, resold, or put back into a pool while it’s yours. Ask for it and it ships.
When does my card ship?
Nothing moves until you ask for it. Handling and delivery times aren’t final, so this reads — for now. Real times land before launch.
Where do you ship?
Cards ship from the EU. The countries we ship to are listed at checkout and checked when you make the request, so a request we can’t fulfil is refused up front rather than discovered later.
Can I ship a card I pulled a while ago?
Yes. A stored card can be requested for shipping at any point while it’s yours, however long it has been sitting there.
You’re holding my card. What if the company goes under?
Your card is a specific physical item recorded against your account by its cert number, and it sits with a third-party storage company rather than in an office of ours: that record is what separates it from stock. What isn’t settled yet is how your claim on it is documented, since the storage contract and the terms on top of it aren’t signed. We’d rather publish those terms once they’re real than guess at them now: they’re on the list of what lands before launch.
Money
What is sell-back?
Sell-back is the option to hand a card straight back to us instead of keeping it. You get credit immediately and the card goes back into storage on our side. You see the offer before you confirm it.
Who decides what my card is worth on sell-back?
The offer is priced off an outside market-price feed for graded cards, not a number we type in. We apply a published rate to whatever that feed says, and both the feed and the rate are part of what gets locked when odds are published. You see the rate and the resulting offer before you accept.
Can I lose money?
Yes. A pack can give you a card worth less than you paid for it, and over many openings packs bring in more than the cards they give out: that gap is how the company earns. Sell-back gives you an exit, not your money back. A pack is a purchase, and we won’t describe it as an investment.
How much does a pack cost?
Pricing isn’t final. The ladder on the packs page is indicative. It is the shape we expect, not a decided price list, and every rung on it can still move. Real prices land before launch, and every other figure on this site is a placeholder until then.
Can I withdraw my balance?
That part isn’t finalized yet, so we won’t describe a withdrawal flow we might still change. Two things are already fixed: you authorize every purchase yourself, and ID is only asked for when money leaves, never at sign-up. Nothing on this site is chargeable today.
Draft: wording not final
The rest
How old do I have to be?
18. You confirm it when you create the account, and no purchase path opens without it.
What company is behind this?
It isn’t named on this site yet. The company is being set up, and we’d rather leave the field blank than print a name that changes; the terms and the privacy notice carry the same blank. The contact page is the address that reaches us in the meantime.
When do you launch?
No date yet. The launch action in the header is inert until the app opens, so the day it starts working is the day packs are live.
Open one yourself.
The pool, the odds and the card you end up holding all live in the app. Sign in to have a look — nothing is on sale yet.
